The 11U All-Star team placed second in the United States Sports Specialty Association tournament in Conway last weekend.

The tournament wrapped up late Monday night after rainouts delayed bracket play on Sunday. Crossett was named the 2019 USSSA state runner up in the 11U division.

On Saturday the team faced Russellville and Mena for the tournament’s pool play. Crossett beat Russellville 9-1 and Mena 9-8.

On Sunday Crossett beat Conway 9-1 in their first bracket game before the games were called for rainout and postponed until Monday.

On Monday Crossett beat Monticello 6-4, but fell to Mena in the championship 6-2.

This year’s 11U All-Star team included players Evan Rial, Jermal Nalls, Vance Dorcy, John Kenly, Jaden Holyfield, Hudson McCloy, Jayden McKoin, CJ Brown, Landon Taunton, Wyatt Sivils, Jackson Gee, Drake Dejarnette, Zane Brown and Bryson Bens.

The team was coached by Cliff Gee, Chad Brown, Anthony Dejarnette and Jeff Holyfield.
