The Hamburg Lions are 0-2 after losing to Woodlawn on Friday.
Hamburg went three up three down in the top of the first and Woodlawn scored on error in the bottom half.
In the top of the second, Toby Spurlock hit a single with two outs on the board, but was left stranded on base after a strikeout.
Hamburg hit the field still trailing 1-0.
The first Woodlawn batter in the bottom of the second reached base on an error, but Spurlock struck out the second. Another batter reached base on error and the runner scored, making the score 2-0. Spurlock picked a runner off at first for the second out and the next batter grounded out to first baseman Tyler Hickman.
In the top of the third, Brayden Berry laid down a sacrifice bunt to advance runner Bruin Barnes to second, but two strikeouts left Barnes stranded.
Spurlock walked batter one and struckout batter two. The walker was picked off base for the second out of the inning.
Another batter reached on error, but was thrown out at second on the next hit and the Lions came into bat.
The Lions went three up, three down the in the top of the fourth and hit the field still trailing by two.
In the bottom of the fourth, a Woodlawn batter hit a double with two runners on base, bringing the score to 4-0, which would turn out to be the final score of the night.
The Lions traveled to Star City on Tuesday night, but results were not available at press time. The Lions will travel to Warren to face the Lumberjacks on Thursday night.
