The Hamburg senior boys brought home a win over the Warren Lumberjacks Friday and placed third in recent tournament.

At the end of last month, the Hamburg Lions placed third in the Arkansas Bail Bonds Tournament at Mountain Home High School.

In the first round, Hamburg won over Brinkley High School 65-55, which put them in the semifinals.

Hamburg lost to Mountain Home 59-51 in a close matchup.

On Dec. 28, Hamburg played Farmington to battle for third place and won 59 - 57 in overtime.

The Hamburg Lions were 8-8 when they traveled to Warren on Friday to face the Lumberjacks.

The Lions won 83-74 and are now 9-8 for the season.

Caleb Bridges scored the most points for the Lions with a total of 16 points. Nick Bridges was right behind him with 15 points and was three-for-five on three-point shots. Jalen Wilson also scored 15 points for the Lions and Nigel Lewis scored 14. Wilson also lead the team in defensive rebounds.

The Lady Lions also played Warren Friday, but lost 68-27 and are now 2-14 for the season.

The Lion teams will travel to Crossett on Friday to face the Eagles. The next Hamburg home game is Jan. 15.
