The Hamburg Bass Club fished a tournament at GP Lake on March 16.

Fisher Grubb and Austin Fleming won the tournament with a total weight of 7.18 pounds, earning 307.18 points for the season. Dalton Haynes won second with 6.22 pounds, earning 301.22 points for the season; he also caught the big Bass of the day with a fish weighing 4.26 pounds.

Kolten Hodge weighed in with 4.56 pounds, Kyle Fleming and partner Drake Thornton weighed in at 4 pounds and Gavin Harrod and partner Aaron Nelms weighed in at 1.54.

Other fishermen include Lane Edwards with partner Ben Brockwell, Garrett Moyers and Dalton Gill.

The current standing from the first seven tournaments with only one tournament reminding are Austin Fleming in first with 2071.94, Grubb in second with 2022.50, Harrod in third with 1935.80, Gill in fourth with 1765.68 and Lane Edwards in fifth with 1762.44.

Other fishermen, ranked in order of points, include Kyle Fleming, Nelms, Brockwell, Haynes, Hodge, Ethan Vail, Thornton, Hunter Edwards, Tyler Cook, Joseph McLarrin, Ganon Vail, Bruin Barnes, Moyers, Hunter Adams and Cami Murphy.

The Hamburg Bass Club will have its last regular tournament of the school year on March 30 at Lake Monticello.

Following the March 30 tournament, the Top 8 will compete in the Club Final on May 4 at Lake Ouachita, which will also serve as practice for the state tournament.

Coach Matt Allison said the state tournament will be held on Lake Ouachita on May 11.
