The game started out as a close one. Mid-first quarter, Monticello led 11-9, but Jackson Moore shot for the Eagles, tying the score.

The Eagles stayed ahead the rest of the night. Monticello got within two points —19-17 — but Jartaveous Brown shot a three-pointer to give the Eagles 22. Moore shot again to make it 24-17 and the Eagles kept it up all night.

In the third quarter the Billies started closing the gap again, but Jack Rice shot a three-pointer to make it 38-39 and Derrick Luckey shot again to give the Eagles a comfortable 10-point point lead. The Eagles ended the third quarter up 49-36 and ended the game up 60-53.

The Eagles will not play at home again until next Tuesday night when they host the Warren Lumberjacks and celebrate senior night.
