Crossett Eagles Caden Moyer, Max Taunton, Larry Morris, Max Brooks, and Ethan McElroy participated in the Billie Power Lifting Meet held in Monticello on Saturday, Feb. 11.
Crossett walked away with three state records, three first place weight class finishes, and two second place weight class finishes.
Ethan McElroy set a state record in deadlift for 198-pound weight class with a lift of 510 pounds.
Max Taunton set a state record in bench press for 180-pound weight class with a lift of 280 pounds, and Caden Moyer set a state record in bench press for 308-pound weight class with a lift of 280 pounds.
McElroy, Brooks, and Moyer finished first in their respective weight classes, and Taunton and Morris finished second in their weight classes.
McElroy pulled a total of 1,180 pounds, Moyer 1140 pounds, Morris 1,100 pounds, Taunton 990 pounds, and Brooks 965 pounds.
McElroy also claimed Overall Best Lifter.
The team will compete in the state powerlifting meet in Monticello on March 11.
