The Crosett Eagles baseball team beat Star City 4-2 on the road Monday night.
Crossett scored first when Trent Pullin knocked Cody Kelley into home in the top of the first.
The Eagles held off Star City in the bottom half with an out by Griffin Courson on third base and two by Jack Rice at short stop.
The Eagles came in to bat leading 1-0 and scored another run in the top of the second when Deuce Hall stole his way around to home before the third out.
In the bottom of the second, Zeke Hopper threw two batters out from the mound and Hall caught a pop up on second, bringing the Eagles back into to start the third still in the lead.
No more runs were scored until the top of the fifth, when Pullin hit a single with the bases loaded bringing, Mason Taunton in to score.
In the bottom of the sixth, Star City managed to get two runs around, closing the Eagles’ lead to a one point gap.
In the top of the seventh, Pullin hit a sacfice fly to bring Courson around to home, giving the Eagles four runs.
The Eagles held the Bulldogs off in the bottom of the seventh, making 4-2 the final score and giving the Eagles their ninth win of the season.
