Students at Hamburg High School are continuing a nationwide tradition of praying for their school that began nearly three decades ago.

See You at the Pole, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 with 10 students praying at their school in Burleson, Texas. Twenty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.

See You at the Pole  is a prayer rally where students voluntarily meet at the school flagpole before school to pray and lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation. See You at the Pole is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes Captain Chandler Norsworthy led the devotion on Sept. 25 for See You At The Pole.

Students Jaron West, Jami-Lynn Hamilton, and Kristi Buck led worship that morning by singing “Reckless Love”  by Cory Asbury.

Students gathered around the flagpole at the middle and high schools to pray and stand up for their Christain faith. Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church provided sausage biscuits, orange juice, and milk for all in attendance.

Later that evening the “Saw You at the Pole Rally” was hosted at Promise Land Church. Nearby churches participated that night by bringing vans of students to join together for worship and devotion.
