Kristi Clanton’s Social Media and Communications students at Crossett High School have created and written blog posts on

The students each have their own blog, chosen by their personal interests.

“My daughter had a blog when she was in college in a communcations class, and she works in communications now and has managed blogs for the agencies that she has worked for,” Clanton said. “It is a definite career skill for the future.”

The students each have their own individual blog account and have their own themes that they write about. Senior Sydney Campbell has a blog account that is dedicated to clinicals, which she experienced in her medical classes.

She writes about what she does during clinicals and how it helps her towards her future career.

“I enjoy creating blog posts because it’s a great way to increase my writing skills and it’s actually really fun,” Campbell said.

Clanton said she chose to do blogs because it is an avenue of social media that most students are not aware of that has a large following of people and can be used to make money or as a career skill in the future.
