Hamburg High School teachers recently chose eight students, two from each grade, to be rewarded as Good Citizens. One boy and one girl were recognized from each grade.

Those selected inclued freshmen Jason Nguyen and Paige Young, sophomores Hunter Jones and Jayda Knight, juniors Lukas Naron and Chloe Barrington, and seniors Chris Lloyd and April Mondragon.

These students were chosen by all HHS teachers.

Senior Lloyd said he appreciates HHS teachers for the recognitization.

“It means a lot to me that my teachers recognize my great behavior,” he said.

Junior Barrington said she feels honored to be chosen. Barrington said she feels that, “my teachers care. They’re always doing something to help and I am glad they think good enough of me.”

Knight said that she likes to, “help students and teachers in any way” that she can.

Nguyen, like the rest of the students, was said he was shocked when he saw on the EAST Daily HHS News that he had been chosen out of all of his peers.

HHS teachers said they encourage everyone to be good citizens, whether it goes unnoticed or not.
