As students were looking to the future at the new Crossett High School campus, a teacher found a way to help students look back.

Crossett High School ISS teacher Judy McCay found many boxes of old pictures from previous yearbook classes dating back to the 1980’s in a small closet on the back hallway during the move. The photos have been untouched and forgotten for years.

They are now with Kristi Clanton, CHS’s journalism, yearbook and JAG teacher. The yearbook staff is working on sorting and organizing the old pictures so they can be preserved properly. Some of the old photographs will be featured in the 2018-2019 CHS yearbook. By featuring some of these photographs in the yearbook, it will give a little bit of nostalgia and history about past years of CHS students.

“I was so excited about getting these pictures because I love old photographs and history” Clanton said. “My yearbook staff has enjoyed sorting the photos and finding familiar faces. “
