Crossett High School band student Victoria Porter attended All-State band auditions Feb. 2. The previous weekend, Jan. 26, Junior Tori Porter attended the All-Region Clinic where she played in the first band as third chair.

“Since I made first band this year, I qualify for All State auditions.” Porter said. “I would consider this one of my greatest achievements and it is an honor to even get the chance to try out.”

Porter and CHS band director John Mclaren left CHS Feb. 1 and traveled to Conway. All-State auditions were at the University of Central Arkansas.

While Porter did not make the All-State band, she said, “I’m glad I even got the chance to audition and I still enjoyed the experience very much.”
