Crossett High Schools’ National Honor Society officers were announced Feb. 12. The officers for the 2019 year are President Amari Williams and Vice President Sydney Watkins. The school’s sponsor for the National Honor Society is Stephanie Brooks.

In order to run for an office, students were required to fill out an application. They are also required to have a teacher recommendation. The voting for the officers was done by current National Honor Society members only.

The new officers’ main jobs are organizing and overseeing the induction ceremony for new members. Members are accepted in 11th and 12th grade. Members must maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 grade scale. Each member who gets inducted must complete a minimum of 15 community service hours during the 2018-2019 school year.
