Crosett High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the FBLA Fall Leadership Conference at the Grand Prairie Center in Stuttgart Oct. 9. Thirty students represented CHS.
FBLA advisor Janla Gardner and her sister Kelly Savage accompanied the students on the trip as chaperones. Motivational speaker Jason Hudnell talked about how if you don’t waste your seconds, then you are wasting your life. Service projects including the Make A Wish Foundation, Arkansas Children’s Hospital and the Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency were also topics of discussion at the conference.
Phebe Dawson was installed as the local president and received a red president medallion. Crossett received recognition for the District FBLA Leadership Conference for Salvation Army Service Learning and for Wiggins Cabin Service Learning.
Gardner said that FBLA a very important club for the students and that it’s a way for students to network with other students. She also said that the club prepares students for a future business related field.
