Stephanie Deeanna Moon, 52, of Strong, died on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. She was born on Oct. 3, 1968, to Stephen Moon and Martha Moon of Crossett.
Ms. Moon graduated from Crossett High School in 1987, and served her country in the United States Air Force for the next four years. She was also a teacher in El Dorado, Strong, Crossett, Hamburg, Abiding Faith Christian School, Huttig, and Richmond Parish, La.
Deeanna was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Gabrielle Hamilton; her maternal grandmother, Callie Denson; her parents, Stephen Moon and Martha Moon; and a sister, Carol Joe Moon.
Deeanna is survived by three devoted and loving daughters: Mikayla Dianne Marquez, of Moore, Okla., Callie Esther Hamilton of Crossett, and Jami-Lynn Jarvi Hamilton of Crossett; a granddaughter; two sisters, Karen Moon Hensley, of Greenbrier, and Dayla Bussell Gwin and husband, Carl John, of Crossett; two brothers, Douglas Denson Bussell and wife Beverly, and Dennis Stephen Moon and his companion, Tammy Brown, of Crossett; 24 nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.
A Celebration of Life service was 10 a.m., June 4, in the First Baptist Church of Strong, with the Revs. Justin Uselton, John Martin and D.J. Bussell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Strong, 554 South Concord, Strong, Arkansas 71765 or a church or charity of the donor’s choosing.
Honorary pallbearers were Dalton Gill, Dakova Becks and all of her former students and co-workers.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
