Phillip Dean Higginbotham

Phillip Dean Higginbotham, 80, was born September 21, 1941 in Lake Village Arkansas.  He passed on to heaven on November 16, 2021 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale Arkansas.  Phil lived most of his life in Arkansas and Texas.  He served as a medic in the United States Army for two years, 1967-1968, during the Vietnam War.  He was a cowboy who rodeoed as a young man, even competing over seas while in the Army.  He later worked on several ranches and was particularly happy when working with bucking bulls. He was a member of Corner Post Cowboy Church until his death, who were his extended family.  

 Phil is survived by two daughters, Kim Copps and husband Lonnie of Bentonville, Arkansas and JoeDee Higginbotham of Rogers Arkansas.  He has three grandchildren, Jacob Copps and Marianne Copps of Bentonville and Caleb Freeze of Seattle, Washington, one great granddaughter, Madalyn Grace Freeze also of Seattle; one brother, James Higginbotham, and wife, Anita, of Crossett.  There are many nieces and nephews who loved him well.  

He is predeceased by his parents, J.C. and Eunice Higginbotham of Hamburg; sisters, Helen Foote, Lorece Ozment and Billie Jean Bussell; and one brother, Don Higginbotham.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 20 at 1:00 at Corner Post Cowboy Church, 18200 Old Hwy. 68, Siloam Springs, AR  72761.  The family requests that cowboy attire be worn in honor of Phil’s love for all things western.  Memorials to: Corner Post Cowboy Church PO Box 991 Siloam Springs, AR  72761  and Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR  72762.
