Michael “Mike” Daniel Herrington, 67, of Crossett, died on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020, at the Ashley County Medical Center.  He was born in Scotia, Calif., on July 30, 1953, and was a 1971 graduate of Crossett High School.  He was a member of the North Crossett First Baptist Church.

Mike served honorably in the United States Navy. For many years, Mike bought and sold timber in the area and was  employed by the Halley Timber Co.  

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, James Daniel Herrington, and Verla Fay Randall Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Martha Miller Herrington of Crossett.  

Also, surviving him are his four children, Brooke Crass and spouse Scott, Penny Cockrell and spouse Anthony, Layne Gregg and spouse Debbie, and Chad Gregg all of Crossett; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Linda Herrington Rushing of Crossett, and Kay Alonzo and spouse Ernie of Little Rock; his step-father, Billy Wayne Johnson of Little Rock; and a number of other relatives and friends.

A Graveside Service was 2:30 p.m., Aug. 29, at the Delhi Masonic Cemetery with Pastor Robin Allen, officiating.

Services were entrusted to Medders Funeral Home of Crossett.
