Martha Willis-Spharler

Martha Jean Willis-Spharler, 86, of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Crossett, died April 24, 2019 at Halifax Hospice Care Center in Ormond Beach, Fla., after a brief illness.

She was born Aug. 25, 1932 in Pine Bluff, to Zettie Allen Willis and Bettie Catherine Knight-Willis. She graduated from White Hall High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, Zettie Allen Willis and Bettie Catherine Knight-Willis, her daughter, Katherine Renee Spharler, her brother Zack Allen Willis, and her sister-in-law June Willis.

Survivors include three of her children, Sherri Anderson and spouse Rick, David Allen Spharler, and Laurie Browning and spouse Tim; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one niece.

A celebration of her life will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at Halifax Hospice Chapel, 235 Booth Road in Ormond Beach.
