Lawrence Ridgell

Brother Lawrence Ridgell was born to Leander and Beadie Ridgell on May 18, 1935, in Strong. He died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, at the St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock.

Survivors include his wife, Adline Ridgell of Crossett; children, Gladys Richards and spouse Curt of Farmerville, Shirley Shelton and spouse Gary of Wilmot, Gwen Ridgell of Spearsville, La., Glenda Elliott and spouse Bruce of Clarksdale, Miss., Julia Downs and spouse Andrew of Monticello, Linda Gilbert, and Brenda Burns and spouse Kenneth both of Crossett; a grandchild; siblings Henry Ridgell and spouse Leslie of Lompoc, Calif., Malachi Ridgell and spouse Doris of Spearsville, La., Felton Ridgell and spouse Joyce of Carrollton, Texas, Osie Garland of Detroit, Ora B. Garrett of  Santa Barbara, Calif., Julie Johnikin of  Milwaukee, and  Marie Garrett of Santa Barbara; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Aug. 12, at the First Baptist Church in Crossett.

Burial followed in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett.
