Jo Ann Christy

Jo Ann Miller Christy, 71, of Crossett, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Christy was a 1965 graduate of Crossett High School. She worked for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation for 32 years, having retired in 2002 and was a member of the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Tony L. Maxwell Sr.; her father, Oliver Miller; her step-father, Ernest Johnson and two brothers, Kevin Miller, and David Miller.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Religh Christy; a son, Carlton Maxwell, Jr., and wife, Suzanne; her mother, LeFreda Norrell Johnson; a brother, James Miller and wife, Patricia, a sister, Martha Herrington and husband, Mike, all of Crossett; three grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Funeral services were 2 p.m., Aug. 12, at Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Wes Miller and Bro Ricky Tyler officiating.

Burial followed in the Carlock Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chris Cotton, Richard Christy, Brandon Moffatt, Leon Christy, Charley Rice, Gary Christy, Kevin Miller Sr., and Anthony Cockrell.

Memorials may be made to the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church, 132 Ashley Road 15, Crossett, AR 71635.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg.
