James Daniels

James Elbert Daniels Jr., 51, of Bastrop died Feb. 1, 2019. He was born on June 4, 1967 in Crossett to James Daniels Sr. and Rose Mary Daniels. James graduated from Crossett High School in 1986, and later enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and later Active Army, serving in Operation Desert Storm. James worked for Georgia Pacific in Crossett and West Monroe, La, for the past twenty-seven years.

James was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Hope Carson-Daniels; his mother, Rose Mary Daniels; five daughters; Marneisha Daniels, of Little Rock, Dajva Daniels of Monroe, La., Akasha Green and spouse Antwone of Ruston, La., Marquita Carson of Bastrop, and Kayla Carson of Bastrop; two brothers, Elbert Ray Daniels and spouse Gwendolyn of Prince George, Va., and Bobby Ray Daniels and spouse Shawanda of Columbus, Ga.; four sisters, Dorothy Hollins of Crossett, Thelma Bunn of Lawton, Okla.; Beverly Davis and spouse Antonio of Warren, and Mary Ann Carter of El Dorado; four grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Vistaion will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Tennant Funeral Home, 1423 E Madison Ave., in Bastrop.

Services will be 2 p.m. Satarday, Feb. 9 at Davis Memorial Church of God in Christ in Crossett.
