Estelle Cossey

Estelle Cossey, 89, of North Crossett, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2019. Mrs. Cossey was Post Master in Parkdale and worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years. She was a member of the Parkdale Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Eugene Cossey; her parents, Neal Floyd and Anna Lee Langley Vines, two sisters, Eddie Vail and Christine Worthy, three brothers, Roosevelt Vines, Doyle Vines and Harold Vines and her son-in-law, Johnny Sammons.

Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Cossey Sammons; a granddaughter; three great-granddaughters; a great-grandson and three great-great-grandsons.

Funeral services were 10 a.m.Aug. 13, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Denny Polk and the Rev. Robin Allen officiating.

Burial followed in the Parkdale Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Elbert Ray Cossey, Norman Cossey, Matt Pepper, Jim Pollock, James Kellebrew and Colby Ward.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg.
