Erma Hawkins

Mrs. Erma Lina Hawkins, 76, of the Pine Hill Community, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was a homemaker and a member of Holly Spring Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Clifton Hawkins, a daughter, Nannette Hawkins-Green, her parents, Fred and Lovie Womack-Gibbs, a sister, Elena Davis; and three brothers, Lindberg, Billy, and Elvin Gibbs. 

She is survived by one son, Clifford Hawkins and wife Linda, of Hamburg; three daughters, Sherri Hawkins-Goldsbyand husband Greg, and Ameera Hawkins, both of Hamburg, and Gwendolyn Hawkins, of Camden; three brothers, Richard Gibbs and wife Annie, of Hamburg, James Gibbs, and Sherman Gibbs, both of Crossett; one special sister, Vickie Scottand and husband Michael of Crossett; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at Holly Springs Baptist Church in the Pine Hill Community with the Rev. David Bouie Sr. officiating. 

Active pallbearers will be Benard Martin, Ronnie Gibbs, Perry Williams, Elvis Davis, Lee Highes, and Willie Daniels. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of Crooked Creek Hunting Club.  Burial in Carlock Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
