DOROTHY YOUNG

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jim Young; her parents, Frederick Henry and Lucille Bain Hudgens and a brother, Bob Hudgens.

She is survived by three sons, Scott Young and wife, Debbie, Bain Young and wife, Deana, and Bob Young and wife, Lisa, all of Portland; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Sherron Days, Davinia Martin, Marsha Barber, Eunice Stokes, Marilyn Harrison, and Edelmira (Meada) Ramirez for the care and love they gave to Mrs. Dorothy.

Funeral services were 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 31, at the Portland Baptist Church with the Revs. Mark Harris and Jerry Selby officiating. Burial was in the Portland Cemetery. 

Pallbearers were Taylor Young, Brian Young, Clint Williams, Aaron Rutledge, Drake Furrh, and Wilburn Martin. 

Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Fisher, Gregg Grantham, George Rutledge, Ted Selby, Phil Selby, and Johnny Hennington.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg.
