Buddy Burton

Buddy B Burton, 82, of Hermitage, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019 at his home.

Buddy was born April 7, 1937 in Strong, to the union of Orin Wesley Burton and Nancy O. Ham Burton. He graduated from Strong High School in 1955. He worked for the railroads for a number of years and also served as a preacher.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn Ann Burton; his daughter, Karla Burton; a granddaughter, Ashley Webb, and several siblings.

Survivors include his three daughters, Kathy Ann Mabe of Jacksonville, Kristi Cates and husband Steve of El Dorado, and Karen Best and husband Charles of Hermitage; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Aug. 9, at the New London Baptist Church with the Rev. Ricky Smith and the Rev. Terry Smith officiating.  Interment followed in the Ebenezer Presbyterian Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the New London Baptist Church, 1502 Winchester Road, Strong, AR  71765 or charity of the donors choice.
