BEN CHANDLER

Mr. Ben Chandler, 91, of Lake Elsinore, Calif., formerly of Hamburg, died Jan. 13, 2020, at his home surrounded by loved ones. He worked for a construction company more than 40 years, then became self-employed doing construction and handiwork. He was a Christian.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Zebbie Walker; two sisters, Doris Griggs and Louise Ware; and three nephews, Arthur Robinson Ware, Carlovita Griggs, and Tommy Griggs.

He is survived by his children, Benny Chandler, Angelice Wilson and spouse Ernest, Claudette Ellis and spouse James Jr., Margie Voundy and spouse Dwayne, Ben Chandler Jr., Lisa Williams and spouse Harvey, Zona “CeCe” Torres and spouse Victor Sr., and Carol Johnson; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a number of other family and friends.

Funeral services were held Jan. 31, 2020, at T.R.U.E Life of Elsinore Ministries in Lake Elsinore with the Rev. Ernest Wilson officiating. 

Burial followed in Lake Elsinore Cemetery under the direction of Tilman Mortuary, Riverside, Calif.
