Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced Sunday that all schools in the state would be closed for the week starting Tuesday in response to continued confirmation of additional cases of COVID-19 in Arkansas. Crossett and Hamburg school district officials said their schools would be closed starting Monday, and that students could do AMI schoolwork for the week.  Next week is officially Spring Break. Hutchinson said he did not expect long-term school closures.

Sixteen cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Arkansas.
