An arrest has been made in the Christmas Day shooting that happened in Hamburg.

Hamburg Police Chief Johnny Oliver said Tuesday that Damian Davis, 25, of Hamburg, was arrested and charged with first degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm in connection with the Dec. 25 shooting of Todd Martin.

According to a report from the Arkansas State Police Department, Martin was shot and killed while in his vehicle as he was leaving a relative’s house. At the time of the murder, the investigators had no leads.

Oliver said that the Hamburg Police Department has been working with the Arkansas State Police to investigate the case.

Oliver also said that the case is still under investigation and he suspects that more arrests will be made in the future.

Davis is currently being detained at the Ashley County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.

Oliver said officials have no other information to release a this time.
