The Arkansas State Highway Commission has recently approved bids for road work in Crossett.

The winning $769,782.53 bid from Pine Bluff Sand & Gravel will resurface 1.5 miles of the Highway 133 truck route between Highway 133 and U.S. 82 in Crossett.

The construction will begin in one to three weeks, weather pending.

The commission also approved a bid for 10.6 miles of highway near Wilmot.

The work on U.S. 165, which will run north from Wilmot, will be done at a cost of $2,588,80.31.

Pine Bluff Sand & Gravel also won the contract for the U.S. 165 work.

The resurfacing project will begin in approximately one to three weeks, weather pending.

The construction for both projects is expected completed by mid-year.
