Ashley County Sheriff’s Office investigators said a man’s arrest late last month led to his wife’s firing as a parole officer.

Josh Pollock with ACSO said that Jacob Bishop was arrested for residential burglary and signed a consent to search his residence.

Authorities then searched the home of Jacob Bishop and his wife Allison Bishop, who was employed as a parole agent.

“Meth and drug paraphernalia was found all over the house,”Pollock said.

Pollock said on Monday that he doesn’t know what the Bishops’ formal charges will be, but that all of the information has been submitted to the prosecutor.

“As far as our end we are done with it,” Pollock said.

Pollock also said on Monday that Jacob’s wife, Allison, had since been relieved of her job as a parole agent.

No formal charges had been filed at press time.
