Several local groups and organizations will be gathering on the Square to host Halloween activities in Hamburg next week.

Tim Hollis with the Hamburg Fire Station said that each year the fire department brings the trucks out to the square for a “trunk or treat” and they always invite other first responders and local churches to help.

The event will be on Oct. 31 with the time to be announced. Hollis said it’s important that all guests practice Covid-19 social distancing guidelines as provided by the state.

First Baptist Church of Hamburg announced they would be hosting a “trunk or treat” on the square this year as well. The church’s event will be from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28.

The event is come-and-go and costumes are encouraged.

The guidelines provided by the Arkansas Department of Health were published on the City of Hamburg’s website and social media page.

The city’s Website can be found at cityofhamburg.com.
