Free COVID vaccine clinic set for Aug. 4 and 5

Gov. Asa Hutchinson has declared a new public health emergency in light of a significant spike in the number of COVID-19 cases across the state. Ashley County Medical Center will offer a free COVID vaccine clinic from 8 a.m. to noon on Aug. 4 and from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 5 at Ashley Pediatric Clinic. The clinic is open to anyone age 12 or older, though if the patient is a minor they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The clinic will administer the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine; the second dose clinic will be Aug. 25 and 26. Call 870-364-3474.
