The Crossett Area Chamber of Commerce in Crossett has announced that it will be hosting the Festival of Trees at the Chamber of Commerce this year.

Chamber Executive Director Mandy White said that the chamber realizes how tough it’s been for non-profits to raise money this year.

“We wanted to do something to help our local charities and non profit organizations,” White said.

Any non-profit that wants to participate may set up a tree on the pavilion at Centennial Park. Community members are invited to vote for their favorite tree for the cost of $1. The winning tree will get all of the money collected in votes for their tree and a cash prize of $50. The other trees will also get the money paid in to vote for their respective trees as well.

“It’s a fun way to decorate our park and raise money for our local organizations all at the same time,” White said.

Those who wish to register may contact White at the Chamber at 870-364-6591.

“We are really excited about this and we hope that the community will participate in the event by voting and raising money for our local organizations,” White said.
