Early voting in the Crossett runoff elections will begin Tuesday.
Races on the ballot will include for Crossett mayor and the Ward 2, Position 2 city council seat.
In the mayor’s race, Councilwoman Valerie Martin is challenging incumbent Mayor Scott McCormick. The council race is between Dale Martinie and Michael R. Sims.
Early voting will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 27 to Nov. 30, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 4.
Early ballots can be cast at the Ashley County Clerk’s Office in Hamburg and at the Economic Development Foundation at 125 Main St. in Crossett.
Election Day voting will be 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4.
The voting center for all Crossett precincts — Ward I, Ward II and Ward III — will be at at 703 Pine St., the First Baptist Church Multi-Ministry Center Building.
During the Nov. 6 general election, Martin led the mayor’s race with 685 votes. McCormick received 548. A third candidate, Tony Jones, took 478 ballots.
The general election likewise saw Martinie take 789 votes and Sims 474. A third candidate, Roy Langstaff, received 427.
Opening, processing, canvassing and counting of absentee ballots will begin at 5 p.m. Dec 4 at the Ashley County Courthouse.
