Many people consider this time of year a season for giving as well as receiving, and one local donor has decided to donate $3,000 to families of the community.

Crossett Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Mandy White said an anonymous donor has contacted her to be a vehicle for the project.

“I’m basically just gathering the information,” White said.

The donor asked White to collect the names of 30 people in the Crossett Community who could use a little financial help this season. The families will each receive a $100 gift card that can be used same as cash.

White is asking for those  who know of someone who may need assistance to contact her at the Chamber either by emailing the or bringing a letter by the Chamber office.

The list of recipients chosen will be need-based and the list of recipients will remain confidential.

Christmas Day is approaching fast, so White asked that any submissions be sent to her as soon as possible.

White said she is so thankful to have such generous people in the community and she is looking forward to playing a small part in spreading holiday to cheer to these families.

“Members of the Crossett Community always come to the aid of those in need,” she said. “God bless this individual for this generous donation and the many other members of our community that always give above and beyond.”
