Ashley County salutes war fallen on Memorial Day

Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9360 and American Legion Post 111 of Crossett escorted County Judge Jim Hudson as he laid a wreath at the Ashley County memorial for fallen veterans at the Ashley County Courthouse on Memorial Day. Members of local Girl Scout Troops led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Post 111 member John Nowlin played “Taps” on the bugle. The service concluded with a prayer from the Rev. Ty Danielson of First Baptist Church in Hamburg. (VERSHAL HOGAN/News Observer)
