Hamburg natives Judy Martin Hess, Joyce Martin Sanders and Jonathan Martin--collectively known as The Martins — recently garnered the 2019 nomination for Best Roots Gospel Album from the Recording Academy for their release of their latest studio recording “Still Standing”, released by Gaither Music Group.

“One of the things that’s amazing to me is that we are still creating music we love,” said Sanders, who now lives in Nashville. “To be honored for this latest creation is truly amazing. We are beyond excited.”

Released worldwide July 13, “Still Standing” showcases the soaring vocal stylings and impeccable blends that have transcended musical genres and have previously garnered The Martins’ two Grammy nominations and eight GMA Dove Awards and made them a household name among Christian music enthusiasts.

Produced by award-winning singer, musician and producer and fellow 2019 Grammy nominee Gordon Mote, the 11-song release finds the group continuing to explore musically while maintaining the three-part harmonies that have taken them from the stages of Carnegie Hall to the White House.

“We have been singing and recording all our lives,” said Hess, who now makes her home in Columbus, Ga. “To be able to record new music and be proud of it is very exciting. It’s quite a thrill to be awarded for that effort.”

Martin, now of Des Moinse, Iowa, added, “To have the Academy members receive this latest recording effort in this way is simply incredible.

“We love singing together, and we are grateful for this honor.”

The new recording follows the group’s recording “A Cappella”, which received a 2015 Grammy nomination for Best Roots Gospel Album.

“Still Standing” is exclusively distributed by Capitol Christian Distribution and Universal Music and available in the general marketplace and at retail and digital outlets worldwide including iTunes, Amazon, and
