The Another Level Basketball Camp is returning to Ashley County for the 13th year in a row.

Another Level Basketball Camp is a free basketball skills camp designed for players serious about improving their game, but will also include a range of skills and drills for beginning players as well.

The camps are all hosted at Christian-based locations, and this year the camp will stop at two locations in Ashley County before traveling to North Little Rock, Fort Smith and Pine Bluff.

The first stop on this year’s camp tour will be the First Baptist Church of Crossett’s Multi Ministry Center from 9 a.m. to noon daily July 5 and 6.

The camp will then move on the Hamburg’s Mount Zion Community Building.

The Hamburg camp will be 9 a.m. to noon July 9 and 10.

The director of the camp, Champ Watson, said each day the staff will cover topics such as communication, self-improvement, how to practice and what coaches look for in a player. Watson said the camp is very strict about providing the campers with a steady diet of basketball fundamentals.

“This is a fundamental basketball camp, not a recreation camp,” Watson said. “This is a hard working two day camp of strict basketball fundamentals.”

The camp is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 17, and registration packets and waivers can be found online at
