Three arrested following shooting at church

Three people were arrested last week after Ashley County deputies responded to a shooting at Shiloh Baptist Church in Milo.
The shooting occurred in the parking lot of the church Feb. 28, but church was not in session, a news release from Ashley County Sheriff Tommy Sturgeon said.
The victim — whose name was not released — was taken to Ashley County Medical Center by ambulance, but was released that same night.
Sturgeon said investigators arrested and charged three men on scene; John Mason Davis, 18; Sladen Swan, 18; and Justin McCone, 41.
Davis and Swan were both charged with battery first degree and two counts terroristic act.
McCone faces charges of tampering with physical evidence and hindering apprehension or prosecution.
The weapon allegedly used in the incident was a 9-.mm pistol.
The news release said the cause of the shooting is still under investigation.
