The Crossett Eagles track team recently competed in the D&H Track Relays in Monroe, La.

The senior boys finished seventh and the senior girls finished fifth.

“Crossett has a great history in track,” Coach Rodney Lawson said. “They did very well in this meet. As good as we did, we can always do better.”

Dre Lawson took first in the shot put, while Kaylon Williams was second in the high jump.

Coach Sirl Wright said he was very proud of the girls.

“They competed hard and finished fifth overall against great competition,” he said. “I could not be more proud. We had some outstanding performances.”
