Edith Gill Stroud departed this life on May 30, 2018.

She was born on September 7, 1936 to L.C. and Helen Gill in Crossett, AR.

She was preceded in death by brother Robert Gill, her first husband Dixon “Dick” Sherwood and husband Doyle Stroud.

She is survived by two daughters Laura Sherwood (Kimberly Bogart), Dorinda Pistole (Don), one sone Donnie Stroud (Brenda), grandchildren Michael Stroud, (Tracie), Kimberly Pistole Rhodes (Adam), Kristopher Pistole, Andrew Stroud, great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Noah and Eli Stroud and Kennedy & Bennett Rhedes, twin sister Letha Gill Reid (Bobby), and brother Richard Gill (Ann). She is also survived by her best friend Tuffy.

Edith was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a longtime member of First Baptist Church, a faithful volunteer of the Crossett Food Pantry and former employee of Garcia Medical Clinic.

She loved her family, friends and her dog Tuffy.

Pallbearers are Michael Stroud, Kristopher Pistole, Andrew Stroud, Eli Stroud, Adam Rhodes, Dan Kersey and Teddy Huff.

Honorary pallbearers are the volunteers at the Crossett Food Pantry, Dr. Luis Garcia and staff, and Noah Stroud.

Funeral was at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at First Baptist Church, Main Street. Burial at Pine Wood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in her honor to the Crossett Food Pantry.
