The principal of Crossett Middle School has resigned his position, and the assistant principal is the acting administrator for the building.
The Crossett School Board accepted CMS Principal Lou Gregorio’s resignation at its meeting Monday.
Superintendent of Schools Gary Williams said Gregorio listed health reasons as the reason for his resignation.
CMS Assistant Principal Kelly Spradlin is the acting principal, Williams said.
The school board went into executive session after approving the minutes from last month and hearing building reports from administrators, and approved the personnel list that included the resignation after exiting executive session.
Other licensed resignations include Christy Lenard resigning from the assistant basketball coach position at the end of her contract, and classified resignations included Jennifer Gavin as an elementary school paraprofessional effective April 4.
Licensed retiring included Sue Nolan, a CES teacher, and classified retiring included Doris Spurlock from her position as secretary, Alice Smith from her position as a CES paraprofessional, and Pam Smith from her position as a CES paraprofessional and computer lab teacher.
