Eagles bring home two wins from Nashville tournament

The Crossett Eagles won two games and lost one in the Nashville Tournament in Nashville, Ark., last weekend.

The Eagles started the tournament Thursday with a 3-1 win against Redwater, Texas.

The Redwater Dragons scored first in the third inning, making the game 1 - 0, but the Eagles scored one in the fourth and another two points in the fifth inning.

Bennett Holt, Kersh Hall and Dakota Fitch all made it across home plate for the Eagles. Carson Gilbert, Landon Golden and Holt were each credited with one Run Batted In.

Justin Stokes pitched all five innings for the Eagles. Stokes had five strikeouts and only one earned run was scored.

On Saturday, the Eagles were shut out 10 - 0 by the undefeated Nashville Scrappers.

The Crossett Eagles brought home another win the following day, however, after beating the Mayflower Eagles 6 - 4.

Trent Pullin, Jaylan Lawson, Stokes, Golden, Cody Kelley and Kaylon Williams all got across home plate for Crossett.

Kelley was credited with two RBIs and Gilbert, Kersh Hall, Deuce Hall and Bennett Holt were each credited with one RBI.
