The Eagles are now 7 - 7 after losing two games last week.
The Eagles traveled to McGehee to face the Owls last Tuesday.
Crossett started the game in the lead, but by the time the clock had less than 30 seconds in the first quarter, they were trailing 18 - 13. Kylar Canley hit a nothing but net three-point shot, bringing the score to 18 - 16, and Robert Scates stole the ball to tie the score 18 - 18 for the Eagles.
By the end of the second quarter, the Eagles were behind 32-26. McGehee hit a three-pointer just as the buzzer sounded, adding to the Owls lead and leaving the Eagles behind 35 - 26 at the half.
The Eagles stayed within five points of the Owls for the rest of the night, but just couldn’t take the lead. The final score was 57 - 53, McGehee.
Canley was the leading scorer of the night with 16 total points. Peter Williams and Jalen Brown were right behind him, with Williams putting in 10 points and Brown adding seven to the board. Zyon Patterson and Scates each scored six. Jordan Williams and Taquelan Watkins followed with four points apiece.
The Eagles traveled to Smackover to face the Buckaroos Friday. While Crossett started out in the lead, they couldn’t hold on for the victory.
