Robert Lee Duke Jr., 70, of Crossett, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 at Jefferson Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was of the Baptist faith. Robert retired as a supervisor from Georgia Pacific Paper Mill, where he worked for 30 years.
Mr. Duke was preceded in death by one daughter, Katrina Duke; one grandson, Christopher “Lil’ Chris” Duke; his parents, Robert Lee and Fannie Jane Biggers-Duke.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Ruth Ann Duke; four sons, Tredrick Duke of Maumelle, Armondo Duke of Tahlequah, Okla., Christopher Duke and spouse Ramanda of Crossett, Rodriguez Duke and spouse Diedra of Atlanta; four daughters, Lashawn Chapman and spouse Joe, Kimberly Rogers and Chasity Duke, all of Crossett, and Ashley Duke of Fayetteville; one brother, Harvey Duke of Crossett; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a number of other family and friends.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16 at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Radford Jr. officiating.
Burial followed in Westview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be the sons of Mr. Duke along with Hasani Duke and Johnathan Chapman.
Honorary Pallbearers will be T.W. Daniel High School Class of 1965.
Visitation is from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home.
