The Crossett girls golf team traveled to Maumelle to compete in the state tournament last Tuesday.

The top four girls from the golf team were chosen to represent the team at state. This year, four juniors represented Crossett at the Maumelle Country Club. They included Hannah McFarland, Anna Claire Strebeck, Lanee Croswell and Jaci Ward.

Coach Mary Ellen McMahen said even though her team didn’t win, she feels they have improved since last year.

“Hannah, Lanee, and Jaci all played this course last year, and they all three scored better this year than they did last year,” McMahen said.
Strebeck scored the best out of the four Crossett girls with a 112. Strecbeck scored par on holes 1, 5, and 7, and bogey on holes 9 and 11.

Behind Strebeck, McFarland scored a 117. McFarland only scored par on hole 2, and scored bogey on holes 1, 3,12 and 16.
Croswell scored 124 and Ward scored 129.
