Philip Lauhon, 68, of Hamburg, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 in Little Rock. Mr. Lauhon was a native and life long resident of Hamburg and a 1967 graduate of Hamburg High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam Era. He was a cattleman, a rice and soybean farmer and a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Dorothy Stell and E. H. Fox, his father and step-mother, Harry and Mary Alice Lauhon and a step-brother, Lavell Daugherty.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Hilda Byrd Lauhon; two daughters, Amy Hartshorn and husband, Andrew, of Hamburg and Vickie Lauhon of Little Rock; two brothers, Dale Lauhon and wife, Martha, and Gerald Lauhon and wife, Betty, all of Hamburg; two step-brothers, David Daughtery and wife, Cathy, of Searcy and Charles Daughtery and wife, Jean, of Dallas; a grandson, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were 2 p.m. Sept. 3 in the Promise Land Cemetery with the Rev. Josh Luellen officiating.
