The Drew Central Pirates and the Beekman Tigers from Louisiana played against the Eagles and against each other in 15 minute quarters.

In the first scrimmage, the Eagles beat the Pirates 7 to 0.

In the first turnover of the night, Kitrell Williams, recovered a Pirate fumble, giving the Eagles the ball on their own 14 yard line.

DeAndre Webb ran the ball for a first down, and then on the next play broke away with another run, bringing the Eagles to the Pirate 44 yard line.

After losing six yards on a quarterback keeper, Marquan Bornslater ran the ball to the endzone for a Crossett touchdown.

Kicker Owen Hart put the extra point on the board, bringing the score 7 to 0.

The Eagle defense forced the Pirates to a fourth down, and Kitrell Williams returned the punt to the Pirate 49 yard line.

A fumble by the Eagles turned the ball back over to the Pirates.

The Pirates threw two incomplete passes, but on 3rd and 10 finally completed a pass. A number of Eagles took down the Pirates runner with the ball just as the buzzer sounded.

"We did good, but we could do better," said Eagles' Defensive Back Randarius Terry.

Quarterback Joseph Monroe said he feels like the Eagles have come a long way since they played the Maroon and White game.

"Bringing in new guys in on the offensive line was scary at first, but I never stopped believing in them and now look at us we moving to the top," Monroe said. "The defense is already at the top."
