A Crossett man was injured after a shot from a passing vehicle struck him.
Officer James Ford filed a report at the Crossett Police Department Sunday saying that he responded to the emergency room at Ashley County Medical Center after the victim of a gunshot wound arrived there.
The victim, a 29-year-old man, told the officer he had been standing in the
yard of a residence in the 1700 block of Missouri Street when “a small black SUV or car came down Adams (Street) and a single shot came from the vehicle,” the report said.
The bullet struck the victim in the right foot, entering from the top and stopping close to the ankle, the report said. The victim was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.
