Crossett and Hamburg is always a very competitive game, with both teams playing hard and giving it everything they have, so when Hamburg and Crossett met in the Arkansas State Cal Ripken Tournament, the play was tough.

When they faced off, both teams had lost a game and had to play through the losers’ bracket, and by the time they met in that bracket, the Crossett and Hamburg teams had both worked their way into the quarterfinals.

As the game started, Crossett’s Huskey got a hit to reach base. Huskey was followed by Brooks, who got a single to put runners on first and second base. Brooks was forced out for the second out. Mercer got a hit and knocked in Huskey for Crossett’s first run. Mills had a fly out to center field for a Crossett’s out. Wiley got a hit and Cantley had a fly out to left field for the third out.

Hamburg’s Foster reached base on an error by the Crossett shortstop. Whitaker reached base, and was followed by hits from Barley and Hoops, resulting in another run. Mooney turned up the second out, but Garett Hoops got a hit, scoring two runs. Colt Tubbs kept the inning going, and coming around, Lane added to the Hamburg score.
